Brandishing a Firearm in Public

Knowigly brandishing a firearm in public is a misdemeanor, punishable by up to 90 days in jail, a $100 fine, or both.

The law does not apply to a police officer performing police duties, a person lawfully engaged in hunting, a person lawfully engaged in target practice, and a person lawfully engaged in the sale, purchase, repair, or the transfer of the firearm.
