Careless, Reckless, or Negligent Use of Bow and Arrow

The careless, reckless, or negligent use of a bow and arrow that leads to the death or injury of another person is a misdemeanor, punishable by imprisonment for not more than two years, a $2,000 fine, or both, or up to one year in jail in the discretion of the court.

The careless, reckless, or negligent use of a bow and arrow that leads to the destruction of another’s property is a misdemeanor punishable by up to 90 days in jail, a $100 fine, or both. If the cost of the destroyed property exceeded $50 then the offense is punishable by up to 1 year in jail, a $500 fine, or both.

In addition to the above penalties, the court may suspend the hunting privileges of an individual for up to three years.
